Coatings and Inks Industry

Used as a comonomer to copolymerize with acrylates, styrene, etc., to prepare water-based or solvent-based coatings. The ketone group in the molecule can react with hydrazide-containing crosslinkers (such as adipic dihydrazide) to form a room-temperature crosslinking structure, enhancing the water resistance, abrasion resistance, and adhesion of the coatings. It is commonly used in automotive coatings, industrial anti-corrosion coatings, etc.

Improves the film-forming properties and gloss of inks, and enhances the weather resistance of printed products.

Adhesives and Sealants

Used to prepare reversible crosslinking adhesives. Through the dynamic reaction between ketone groups and hydrazide groups, the reuse or self-healing functions of the adhesives are achieved, making them suitable for fields such as packaging and electronics.

Improves the adhesive strength and aging resistance of sealants to substrates such as metals and plastics.

Polymer Modifiers
